The history of the Castillo de Santiago in Sanlúcar de Barrameda has taken a leap into the 21st century thanks to a unique virtual reality experience developed by IMAGEEN. This innovative proposal transforms the traditional visit into a total immersion into the past, where visitors can relive in first person historical scenes that occurred more than 300 years ago.

Through VR glasses, the tour allows you to discover the secrets of the fortress with a high level of historical accuracy, with the help of characters recreated with documentary precision. All this is available in several languages and with an approach specially designed to connect with new generations.

This ambitious project, supported by the European Union (Next Generation EU) and coordinated by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and SEGITTUR, not only enriches the cultural heritage, but also proposes a new, more dynamic, educational and participatory visit model.

From IMAGEEN, the creative and technical team has launched its first major immersive project inside a castle, the result of months of rigorous work and passion for history. The result: an experience that places the Castillo de Santiago at the forefront of cultural tourism in Spain. You can expand the news in the Diario de Cádiz
